Since 1990, GETINSA is active in and performs environmental consultancy and engineering works through a skilled and multi-disciplinary team of environmental technicians (biologists, chemists, engineers, geologists, computer specialists, etc.) and new-generation tools, which enable the company to tackle all kinds of projects in the field of environment and guarantee quality and consistency in works performed, covering all stages of environmental analysis.
Throughout the last 15 years, GETINSA has performed different works, both in cooperation with other branches of civil engineering and environment-specific projects. The environmental team plays a significant role in all projects and studies of the company, both in the environmental compliance and project-specific actions. This team performs all necessary studies and guarantees coordination with the rest of the teams in order to apply all aspects of environmental protection. The main actions lines are the following:
- In information studies, the necessary documents are elaborated and supervised in order to ensure environmental compliance (basically, a summary report including environmental queries and an environmental impact study). It focuses on environmental issues during the initial design stages of new infrastructures.
- In construction projects, compliance with the Environmental Impact Declaration is ensured, if required, and all measures applicable to each aspect are defined and designed.
- In the assessment and supervision of works, all technical aspects are covered relating to environment and environmental supervision. Indeed, environmental supervision-specific works are being performed at present.
- In the expropriation process, support is highly targeted and refers to aspects that can interfere with the environment.
- Environment-specific projects are covered, although in connection with lineal infrastructures, such as the acoustic screening of several high-speed railway lines.
- The quality team is supported when applying the firm’s Environmental Management System.
- On the other hand, other environmental studies and works not related with the aforementioned fields are being developed, such as natural resources studies, environmental compliance for all kinds of activities, etc.
